WORLD FAMILY POLICY CENTER

WHY YOU SHOULD BECOME INVOLVED

The 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights declares that “the family is the fundamental group unit of society.” If this foundation disintegrates, nothing built on it will remain intact. Currently, many forces are eroding the family. Public advocacy is needed to educate society about current problems and to help reverse harmful societal trends.
In the “culture wars” that ebb and flow about us today, the struggle often centers on the role of marriage and family and their place in society. Marriage and the family are important, but we sometimes fail to understand why, and what is ultimately at stake. To preserve and improve the society we pass on to our children, we need to understand these issues in order to defend and bolster the family. We hope this site will help educate you about family policy and encourage you to become involved in this debate.
